Lynn's Learning Pty Ltd (ABN 67 112 504 104) runs My Lynn's Learning at my.lynnslearning.com.au. This page explains what we collect, why, and what we never do with it.

What we collect

From you (the parent): your name, email address and phone number when you sign up, and anything you write to us through the support form.

About your child: their first name, the school year they are in, and the subjects you enrol them in. They share your surname because the account is yours. As they learn, we keep a record of their answers, which skills they have practised and mastered, and which days they worked. That record is the whole point: it is how the lessons know where to start them, and how you can see what they have actually done.

What we do not collect: we never ask for their date of birth, their school, a photo, or their address. Children cannot type a message to anyone, anywhere in the app. There is no chat, no comments, and no social feature of any kind.

Payments

Payments are handled by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe and never touch our servers; we keep only whether your subscription is running and which subjects you pay for. Stripe's own privacy policy covers the card side.

Where your data lives

Your family's account and your child's learning record live in our database in Sydney, Australia, and the app runs on servers in Sydney.

Three other companies handle small, specific pieces, and none of them receive your child's learning record:

There is no tracking of any kind on the pages your child uses. Not hidden, not disguised, not switched on quietly: nothing is watching them while they work. We do not run advertising trackers anywhere on the site.

Explain it another way

If you switch it on, a child who is stuck on a question and has already read a hint can ask for the step to be explained a different way. That one question is sent to Anthropic, an AI company, which writes the explanation.

What is sent: the question on the screen, the hints our tutors wrote for it, the school year the question is pitched at, and the answer your child typed, if they typed one.

What is never sent: your child's name, their age, their history, or anything else that says who they are. Anthropic gets a maths question and does not know whose it is.

It will not give your child the answer. It is never told the answer, so it has none to give.

It does not mark your child's work. Ticks and crosses are worked out the same way they always have been, by fixed rules, not by the AI.

You can read every word of it. Each explanation is saved on your child's page for you.

You can turn it off for any child, at any time, in their settings. It does not change anything else about their lessons.

Who can see it

Lynn's Learning tutors and staff, and only the ones who need to in order to help your child. Nobody else. We never sell, rent, or share your family's information with anyone for marketing.

Emails

We send the emails that make the service work: your welcome and set-password email, receipts (from Stripe), a short weekly progress note, and replies to anything you send support. Every progress email comes from a real reply-able address; answer it and a person reads it.

Your rights

Ask us at any time to show you what we hold about your family, correct it, or delete it. Deleting your account removes your child's learning record; we may keep the minimum billing history the tax office requires. Contact us through the support form or reply to any of our emails. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will email you before it takes effect.
