Maths and English · Foundation to Year 10 · Australian Curriculum

Find out exactly where your child is at.

A short skills check-up pinpoints their true starting point in maths and English, not their school year, their actual level. Then short, daily lessons build from exactly there, the same way our tutors do it at Lynn's Learning.

A student's home screen: their starting-point check and this week's lesson

Sound familiar?

“The report says he's 'developing'. What does that even mean?”

School reports name a band, not a starting point. You can't fix a gap you can't see.

“She's fine at homework, then bombs the test.”

Practising what you already know feels productive. It's the gaps underneath that trip the test.

“The maths app lasted two weeks.”

Games with maths sprinkled on top don't survive the novelty wearing off. A plan does.

How it works

1

The skills check-up

Six short adaptive checks, about 20 minutes all up, walk back through the maths to find where solid ground ends. Not a test score: a starting point.

2

Lessons that start exactly there

Short interactive lessons with real pictures, clocks with moving hands, paddocks you can stretch, machines you feed numbers into, then a few questions to try it yourself.

3

Practice that never repeats

Every question is freshly generated with its own numbers, a working-out board, read-aloud, and hints that teach the step, not just reveal the answer.

Practice that never repeats

Don't take our word for it. Have a play

These are real teaching tools lifted straight out of the lessons. Pick an age, poke at it, and picture your child doing the same.

Fence it, mow it. One paddock, two different measurements. Stretch it and see what changes.

Discover · the paddock

One paddock, two questions

The fence goes around the outside; the grass fills the inside. Watch both, then stretch the paddock and see what changes.

What's inside

Built by the team behind the Lynn's Learning tutoring centres, to work the way our tutors actually teach.

✓ 600+ guided lessons across maths and English, Foundation–Year 10

A full year-by-year plan for both subjects, aligned to the Australian Curriculum, not a random drill bank.

✓ Questions that are never the same twice

Every question is generated fresh, so practice can't be memorised, and there's always more.

✓ Every picture drawn, honestly

Clocks, fractions, graphs, 3D solids. The maths is shown, not described. No stock clip-art.

✓ Hints that teach

Three levels of help per question, ending in how to do it. Never just the answer.

✓ A working-out board

Space to think on every question, because working out IS the maths.

✓ Read-aloud everywhere

Every question and step can be spoken. Reading level never blocks maths level.

✓ Checkpoints and revision

Each block starts with a quick check (skip what's known) and closes by revisiting what wobbled.

✓ Streaks and XP

A little spark to build the habit, never pressure. Easy to turn off for kids who do better without it.

✓ A parent view that respects the child

You see patterns and progress, not every wrong answer. Kids take more risks when they aren't watched question by question.

For parents: see the pattern, skip the fights

Your board shows what actually matters: are they practising, is it sticking, and what needs a nudge. One account covers the whole family. Each child picks their own profile on any device, and their progress follows them.

  • ✓ Weekly rhythm at a glance. Questions done, days practised, streaks
  • ✓ Skills mastered as they land, mapped to the curriculum
  • ✓ “Found this hard” flags so you hear about struggles without hovering
  • ✓ Set a working year per child. Support a catch-up or an extension without a fuss

Why not just get a tutor?

We run tutoring centres. We'd be the last to talk you out of one. But a weekly session works because of what happens between sessions: short, right-level practice, most days. That's the part My Lynn's Learning does. The daily engine, built on the same method, for less than an hour of tutoring costs a month.

Already at a Lynn's Learning centre? It's the same account. Ask us and we'll switch it on.

Simple pricing, priced for families

Every plan starts with the free 14-day trial and covers the whole programme. For less than one hour of tutoring costs a month.

One subject

Maths or English

$40/month

  • ✓ Full skills check-up and placement
  • ✓ Lessons, daily practice and checkpoints
  • ✓ Parent board for every child
MOST POPULAR

Two subjects

Maths and English

$60/month

  • ✓ Everything in one subject, for both
  • ✓ $20/month less than two single subjects
  • ✓ One rhythm: both subjects in the same daily session

Every additional child: half price

Not a code, not a promotion, just the price. Two children doing both subjects is $60 + $30 = $90 a month, and it shows on your invoice exactly like that.

Pay yearly: two months free

The yearly plan is ten months’ price for twelve months of learning. One subject is $400 a year instead of $480.

If the maths on your invoice ever looks different from the maths on this page, tell us and we’ll fix the invoice.

Questions parents ask

What does the free trial include?

Everything. The full skills check-up, lessons, practice and the parent board, for 14 days. Nothing is charged in the trial, and cancelling takes one click from your account, no phone call, no notice period.

How much does it cost after the trial?

$40 a month for one subject (maths or English), $60 a month for both. Every additional child is half price, and paying yearly gets two months free. You can stop any time.

What ages is it for?

Foundation (Prep) through Year 10, following the Australian Curriculum. The check-up places each child at their working level, which often isn't their school year, that's the point.

My child's reading isn't strong. Will they cope?

Yes. Every question and lesson step can be read aloud with one tap (or automatically), so maths practice never stalls on reading.

What devices does it work on?

Any modern browser. IPad, tablet, laptop or phone. Nothing to install. One family account; each child picks their own profile.

Is it just drills?

No. Lessons teach with interactive pictures first, practice follows with fresh questions, hints teach the method, and checkpoints catch anything that didn't stick.

Who's behind it?

The team behind the Lynn's Learning tutoring centres. This is our method, diagnose, teach at the right level, practise little and often, built to run every day at home.

Start with the check-up. Know by the weekend.

Seven days is enough to find the starting point, finish the first lessons, and see whether the habit takes. That's what the trial is for.
